Also called the Great Comet of 2007, this was a spectacular comet... if you lived in the Southern Hemisphere. It was bright enough to be visible in daylight for several day. Unfortunately, here in the north we saw only its long dust tail, which extended over 35° from the coma. This dusty tail stood up above the southern horizon, looking most peculiar.
